Who We Are
We are a small team of community members who want to do our part to help the unhoused and low income familes.
MI Soles of HOPE is a faith-led nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Michigan’s most vulnerable communities with compassion, dignity, and practical support.
Founded by a Registered Nurse and a Social Worker—both ordained ministers—MI Soles of HOPE brings a unique, holistic approach to outreach. Together, we believe that hope begins with meeting basic needs and walking alongside individuals toward brighter futures.
Our Services Include:
- Distributing new shoes to individuals experiencing homelessness and to children from low-income families, funded through donations and corporate sponsorships.
- On-site health support provided by our Registered Nurse during outreach events.
- Basic social services to assist individuals with:
- Employment information and job search resources
- Direction and connections to local recovery and mental health services
- Narcan (Naloxone) distribution and education to help prevent fatal overdoses.
- Referral assistance to:
- CARES Kalamazoo for free and confidential STI testing, HIV testing, and education
- Integrated Services of Kalamazoo for mental health, substance use recovery, and supportive services.
